If you have already purchased the 401AL and realized during installation that you need just a bit more space for the Roof Mount to clear a Ridge Vent, then you probably need this item.

If you already know you are going to need this item, instead of buying it separately with the 401AL, you can save a few dollars and buy them together when purchasing the Ridge Vent Roof Mount (#401ALRV).
